NASTENKA, thanks for joining us, excited to have you contributing your stories and insights. We’d love to hear about when you first realized that you wanted to pursue a creative path professionally.

A few years ago, I was improvising and singing on a public piano when suddenly, a random woman approached me. She said and I’ll never forget: ‘‘I thought I didn’t have a heart anymore, but after hearing you sing, I realised, I still have one, thank you young girl’’. These words have turned my entire life upside down because it became the day when I decided to become a singer. Ever since I’m on a mission to have a positive impact and reach the hearts of as many people as possible through music.

Great, appreciate you sharing that with us. Before we ask you to share more of your insights, can you take a moment to introduce yourself and how you got to where you are today to our readers.

Since I was a kid, I’ve had this deep connection with animals. They’d often just relax and sometimes even doze off when I was around. But when it came to talking with people, well, that was a whole different story.

So, music, you see, it became my way of dealing with feelings, forming these unique connections that don’t need fancy words. My medium of communicating with people, the bridge between my heart and the world out there.

All those personal moments, the heartbreaks, the failures, the times when no one quite got me – they all became a well of emotions poured into my music. Life’s challenges, we all face them, but each of us dances to a different tune.

What’s so darn amazing about music is how it brings people together, no matter where they’re from or what language they speak. It’s like saying, ‘Hey, I’ve been down that road too. You’re not alone.’

And you know what? It’s crazy how you can connect with people you’ve never even met or seen. You share this emotional journey/experience, and it’s like you belong together.

Can you share a story from your journey that illustrates your resilience?

The music industry is one of the most competitive fields in the world, requiring so much more than just talent and skill to succeed. I firmly believe that if you find a purpose in what you do, stay consistent and patient, you will be rewarded.

In my case, if I don’t listen to music for a day, I feel a sense of emptiness, as if something is missing. I need music to live; it’s my life’s breath.

This reliance on music helps me tackle hardships as exciting challenges, allowing me to grow and push obstacles aside.

What’s truly remarkable about this journey are the inspiring people and fellow warriors I get to meet along the way. They become my sources of growth and inspiration.

What do you find most rewarding about being a creative?

What touches me the most is witnessing the emotions of people during concerts. It’s incredible to see tears flow, people laughing, dancing, and embracing each other. Watching individuals flourish, process their past through my music, and share their feelings with me is a profoundly beautiful experience.

I’ve come to realize that my music has the power to evoke strong emotions in people and deeply affect them. Just like the incident with the woman at the train station who thought she had lost her heart until she heard me sing.

This is why I aspire to be a role model, aiming to be someone to whom people can genuinely connect.
